Collaboration: It all begins
with an idea – Your Idea!
We will come to your home, or you are welcome to visit our workshop to discuss your ideas, listen to your needs and brainstorm a variety of options before designing a beautiful, unique piece of furniture together.
When designing a custom piece of furniture, much consideration is put towards:

-
The size and style of the room
-
Your functional needs
-
Existing home décor: other furnishings, floorings and colour schemes
-
The best timbers to showcase your piece of furniture, carefully selected for grain, timber colour and natural characteristics.
Once design is finalised, all furniture is hand crafted in our Melbourne workshop which you are welcome to visit throughout the manufacturing process.
The final stage is installation and delivery, which is one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience for the entire Davis team.
Seeing each piece placed in the space it was designed for and the joy on each customers face is worth every minute of the creation process.
Davis is proud of the loyalty shown by our customers over the past 50 years.
We are so delighted to now be servicing second-generation Davis customers.

Beautiful 3.6m long and low wall unit. Made so well with hand picked timber that matched the movement and grain
I wanted, and also with exact matching panels having the grain run through from drawer to drawer. Installed it so quickly and made adjustments for the powerpoints within when needed. Great job. Thanks

This was the first time i've had a piece of custom furniture made, and I got quotes from around 5 businesses to make an audio cabinet. I went with Davis Furniture for the job. David made the audio cabinet out of american oak and did an excellent job. The details and finish are outstanding and the piece is exactly as I had specified. Very easy to work with and fast to communicate each time. I'd definitely use Davis Furniture again for a small or big job. Highly recommended! Thanks again

The desk not only looks beautiful but also feels robust and functional. The quality of the materials and the attention to detail clearly reflect a high standard,
It has exceeded our expectations in both design and quality. We highly recommend this product to anyone looking for finely crafted, long-lasting furniture. Thank u David! You are the best.

I must have contacted 50+ different manufacturers about having this custom-designed frame made, yet Davis Furniture was the only one that said they were able to make it. Throughout the process, they were prompt, clear and friendly with their responses to my correspondence to a degree that I have never experienced with any other business---to the point that they will henceforth be the standard by which I judge all others. I am beyond satisfied with the way the piece turned out, in terms of aesthetics, strength, and conformity to the order. Overall, this was easily the best experience I have ever had with a contractor in my life to date, and I would recommend them to anyone seeking to have a custom-designed piece of furniture made.

David Davis was really the only person for whom the challenge was not too difficult. David found a way to custom build our wall unit when others said it couldn't be done. David has since been back to help us with antique restoration. He is highly capable, professional and friendly. We have no hesitation in highly recommending David Davis and David Furniture.
